Shar Matin is the Chief Executive Officer of Cirtec Medicaland brings over 25 years of global leadership experience in the medicaltechnology sector. He has a proven track record of scaling businesses, drivinginnovation, and forging strong customer partnerships across Fortune 500 andmid-sized companies. Most recently, he served as CEO of Cordis, where he ledits transformation from a division of Cardinal Health into one of the world’slargest pure-play cardiovascular companies, including the strategic acquisitionof MedAlliance's drug-eluting balloon technology.
Prior to Cordis, Shar held senior leadership roles atViewRay, Spectranetics, Boston Scientific, and Guidant. As Chief OperatingOfficer of Spectranetics, he was instrumental in growing the company’s valuefrom $250 million to over $2 billion ahead of its acquisition by Royal Philips.
Shar began his career as a process and manufacturingengineer and held technical and commercial leadership roles. He holds an MBAfrom Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in MechanicalEngineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He also serves on theBoard of Directors for Koru Medical Systems.
In his free time, Shar enjoys spending time with his three kids, biking and boating.
