Advanced Catheter Subassemblies
Integrated shafts, reinforcements, and liners for demanding minimally invasive therapies

Building the Backbone of
Minimally Invasive Delivery Systems

Advanced catheter subassemblies combine innovative shaft designs, reinforcement structures, liners, and distal features into a single, ready-to-integrate module that speeds development. By uniting critical components including multi-lumen extrusions for fluid or wire management, braided or coiled reinforcements for torque and kink resistance, low-friction liners for smooth device passage, and precision-machined or laser-finished tips, our subassemblies help R&D teams hit performance targets for cardiovascular, neurovascular, electrophysiology, and structural heart therapies without juggling multiple suppliers.
Our Catheter Subassmblies Capabilities
Explore how Cirtec’s vertically integrated platform lets you mix-and-match extrusion profiles, reinforcement schemes, liners, and advanced electronics to create purpose-built catheter subassemblies.
Single- to 12-lumen profiles, bump or tapered tubing, and specialty resins such as Pebax®, Nylon, PTFE, FEP, HDPE, TPUs, or Polyimide deliver the ideal balance of flexibility, pushability, and wall uniformity. Our materials can be compounded with H&L stabilizers, colorants, Radio Opaque fillers and lubricity additives.
- Stainless steel, Nitinol, MP35N wires/flat ribbons, or polymer fibers
- Tight-pitch designs down to 0.001 in Ø for torque and kink resistance
- Variable-stiffness zones for steerability and distal softness
FEP, PTFE, or thermoplastic liners applied via heat shrink reflow provide ultra-low friction and radiopacity options; hydrophilic or drug-eluting coatings further cut insertion forces and enable therapy delivery
- Embedded sensors — contact-force, temperature, pressure, electrical mapping, and flow—for real-time procedural feedback
- Ultra-thin flex circuits, micro-coax, and ring electrodes seamlessly routed through multi-lumen shafts for high-channel count data capture
- Custom low-power ASICs, wireless telemetry, and closed-loop control algorithms ready for advanced diagnostic or therapeutic catheters
